PLSA represent Pension schemes that provide a retirement income to more than 30m savers in the UK and invest more than £1.3trn in the UK and abroad. They bring together the industry and other parties to raise standards, share best practice and support our members.

"Pensions and retirement is highly complex industry, so CAFA commends PLSA for its climate commitment, both internally and the way it is addressing industry need and leading its members from the front. CAFA welcomes PLSA to its Collective of membership organisations accelerating climate action and we are excited to support PLSA to implement net zero policies and transition plan." Alison Heppenstall, CEO, Climate Action for Associations.

Julian Mund, Chief Executive at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association, said; “CAFA provides a crucial platform for membership organisations like the PLSA to unite in the face of the climate change emergency. Joining CAFA isn't just a commitment; it's a proactive step towards driving climate leadership internally and across our industry."

“Through dedicated support from CAFA's net zero team, a user-friendly emission tracker, and a comprehensive toolkit, we are empowered to not only reduce our own carbon footprint but also guide our members on their individual and transformative journeys to net zero."

“Becoming a member of CAFA is a testament to our commitment and dedication to reducing our carbon footprint and helping our members transition to net zero practices. This is particularly crucial as we focus on mitigating the environmental impact of our offices, events, and other major contributors. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and inspire positive change within our sector."
