THE ROLE:

 

This position will play a vital role in helping us to grow, increase impact, support our members on their sustainability and net zero journeys and play an influential role in advancing best practice in sustainability for associations worldwide.

 

As our Membership Engagement Executive, you will play a key role in nurturing and expanding CAFA’s diverse and growing community. You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with existing and future association members, ensuring they are engaged, supported, and inspired to maximise their impact. Your efforts will directly contribute to business and industry net zero transition.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Develop and implement strategies to engage, retain, and grow our Collective

• Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providing exceptional support and ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities they need

• Help us to update and maintain progress of our members

• Develop short and punchy guides and content to deliver more value to our members

• Support delivery of events, webinars, workshops and newsletters to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and support to our members and wider community

• Facilitate member onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience

• Coordinate and host member events, webinars, and workshops to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing

• Gather and analyse member feedback to continually improve our offerings and services

• Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling content that highlights member achievements and network opportunities

• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our membership, with a focus on diversity and inclusion

• Support the delivery of our strategic alliances, policy work and bilateral meetings including with ISO Net Zero Standards, BSI, UN Race to Zero, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and other, leading climate NGO’s.

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

• You will be smart, proactive and assertive, with energetic and open personality

• You will have proven experience in membership engagement, customer relations, or community management, ideally within a membership association

• You will be able to understand complex challenges and how these can be translated simply to our broader audience

• You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships

• You will be enthusiastic and passionate about climate change and sustainability, with an understanding of environmental challenges

• You will be organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and projects simultaneously

• You will be a creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative engagement strategies

• You will have experience using CRM systems and digital tools to manage membership engagement.

• You will be a proactive, self-starter attitude with a commitment to making a positive impact.
