Surfers Against Sewage are a grassroots movement that has grown into one of the UK's most active and successful environmental charities. Dedicated to protecting oceans, beaches and wildlife the charity has just released their 2022 brand audit report.
Dubbed as the 'Dirty Dozen' the report sheds light on our oceans biggest single use plastic polluters. 3,769 volunteers walked across 13,047 Miles recording over 28,700 polluting items. Together they recorded 10,843 items of branded packing across beaches, mountains, rivers and green spaces. The results showed over 70% of these items had come from some of the world's most powerful, profitable and influential companies.
